I was amazed to hear at my local Democratic party meeting that there will be at least one real lawyer, acting as an observer, at every single one of the 400 some precincts around Seattle: part of a national plan.
God knows what it's going to be like in Miami. It's the legal equivalent of civil war.

One recalls the Ohio 103rd Pro Bono Volunteers, and their nearly successful injunction of Pickett's charge at Gettysberg, dismissed on a technicality.
Up until the end of The Cold War ever U.S. army installation housed 12 civilian lawyers to handle any percieved threat from at home or abroad. The custom ended after the "Fort Reform Act" of 1993 which limited the amount of damages lawyers could recieve through fort action.
