Bigger threat: Alex Smith is visiting the Dolphins as I write this, and is rumored to be heading for Seattle, next.
Alex Smith to Seattle would be a gas. Now that he has learned every offense in the NFL and gotten to mid-career without severe injury, it's the perfect time for the 49ers to give up on him.
Smith is only three years older than Tebow...
I've gotten caught up in following this all too closely this weekend. Seahawks could end up with Matt Flynn, Alex Smith, and by later this week we could be speculating about Matt Hasselbeck or Tim Tebow. But it appears nothing is going to be settled until Peyton Manning makes up his mind. What's crazy is that the most sought-after option in the QB free agency rodeo is a past-his-prime superstar whose career could end the first time he takes a hit.
