"Birthday"

Jamie Bollenbach "Birthday" 28" by 60", Acrylic on canvas, 2005

Related to earlier works, I made the "quantum girl" graphic marks conform to a narrow hallway like perspective in the center.

This rented immediately in July -before I could get a photo - and just came back for display at SAM.

Since the last unfortunate time, The Sea Lord has sternly warned me against deconstructing his art work, no matter how much it reminds me of the view out the back window of my '63 Volkswagon Bug at 25 degrees below zero, when the defroster fails and all I have to scrape the windows with is a "Doors Greatest Hits" cassette tape case. But seriously, love ya big guy, and your art's pretty great too. Happy Thanksgiving.

That reminds of the sign I was going to post in the studio:

If you deconstruct it, you bought it.

But out the back of a (orange - it was orange, that seems important) 63 Bug window at 25 below? Excellent!

So Happy Thanksgivi...[BEEP]

Sorry, that's the Blue Bus on the other line. Gotta take this.
