Bad, but...
The new Robin Hood movie is very bad. But it is bad in interesting ways, existing in a psychic space comparable to DiLaurentis' Flash Gordon and David Lynch's Dune. If it is true that genius steals, then director Otto Bathurst is the new Orson Welles: the plot is from The Dark Knight, the setting and costumes (and one villain) are from Rogue One, and there is a kind of chariot race like in Ben Hur but with fire. Eve Hewson is Salma Hayek as Dale Arden, Tim Minchin makes a fine Friar Tuck, and F. Murray Abraham and Ben Mendelsohn are (as you'd expect) excellent baddies.

Seems to be a little cottage industry springing up of people proposing better names for this movie, possibly started by this fellow. A few candidates:
- Zero Dark Loxley
- The Hurt Loxley
- Apocaloxley Now
- 13 Robins Why
- Loxley Begins
- Band of Loxlies
- The Naked and the Loxley
- All Quiet on the Western Loxley
- Loxley Down
- The Red Loxley of Courage
Also:
- Hack Writer’s Ridge
Which is fair considering some of the dialogue. Actual quotes follow:
- Sheriff of Nottingham: God’s up there, I’m down here.
- Little John: We stare death in the face with courage and honor.
- Sheriff of Nottingham: I’ll remind them they’re not the people, they’re my subjects.
- Maid Marian: Can’t you see what you’re doing? You inspire the people.
- Sheriff of Nottingham: I want his blood flooding the streets!
There's also a really weird training montage with Jamie Foxx.
