Ooh, ahh
One of the things you'll notice about the enamel dials is the three-dimensional effect that they create. You can see through the top layers of enamel and the printed markings appear to almost float over the dial itself.

I saw all of these, and met the enamelers, at WindUp in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago. They're even more impressive in person.
