Eat Fascist Death, Flaming Media Pigs

Here's what's bogus about this story. A soldier asked a valid question of the Secretary of Defense, and got a crappy answer. Whether the soldier prepared his question, or discussed it with someone else is completely immaterial. But that's the story now - the liberal media fed him the question.

Acoording to Editor and Publisher, "Lawrence Di Rita, a Pentagon spokesman, released a statement yesterday noting that 'Town Hall meetings are intended for soldiers to have dialogue with the secretary of defense. It would be unfortunate to discover that anyone might have interfered with that opportunity, whatever the intention.' "

Because real soldiers don't care if they're sent into harm's way in explosive vehicles with minimal protection from small arms fire. They shut up and die, like good Americans.

Here's my favorite BS Pentagon quote: " 'I don't need to tell you how serious we take this. I look at the casualty reports every day,' said Lt. Gen. Steve Whitcomb, the commander of the 3rd Army Corps and the commander of coalition land forces in the Middle East for U.S. Central Command."

Yes, reading those reports must be almost as painful as having your flesh shredded by automatic weapons fire. My heart goes out to you.

So Mr. Di Rita, Gen Whitcomb, here's a big STFU for you.
