NOT BAD FOR HAVING GROWN UP IN AN IGLOO

Hey, Reggie Tongue (former Seahawk) is from Fairbanks. And he just ran an interception back for a touhdown.

While looking into Tongue's stats, I found this very interesting ranking of top Alaskan athletes. I had the honor of being scored on more than once by #19 Steve MacSwain, a very crafty forward with quick hands who was able to make most goalies look silly and was able to make me look down-right goofy.

Of course I just missed the list at number 14,346. Those were heady days.

With fellow Stellerite Trajan Langdon at #1, I had been wondering where he was, last playing for the Cavaliers - he's now playing in Turkey, and the expression on his face captures all the magic of dominating basketball in Asia Minor here:

Of course, that was the "20th century" list. Carlos Boozer, C/F for the Utah Jazz, leads the team in point and rebounds per game. (Then again, he was on the USA men's basketball team at the 2004 Olympics...)

Scott Gomez has 2 Stanley cups, and he brought the cup back to Anchorage. Doesn't he have some kind of claim to #1. How did I fare in the new ranking? Did I move up?
