The arrangements would take some arranging, and I am at the mercy of the art market if not the academic year (a large painting hovering in half-sale) but perhaps cocktails at the the St. Francis or the Palace Hotel would be in order, as long as Crumples is off, and the escort service is classy, and the dragnet has died down enough, and it's not the kind of place where there are a bunch of cheap hoods in the lobby, their heaters bulging through their clothes.
The St. Francis is safe. French visitors are advised to avoid the Argent, as it is the lawless hotel in town...
The best thing about the Argent hotel is that when you in it, you can't see it. The exterior of San Quentin is more appealing.
