Ah! An opportunity for the following commentary - regarding any public statements of any Republican official of any kind:
1) They are lying to make money for rich people.
2) The rare exception to the above is if the truth of what they are saying is verified by at least twenty independent sources, confirmed by at least three-double blind studies funded by major universities of international acclaim, and published in at least two reputable scientific journals.
3) That being said, the very next thing they say, including the adjacent dependent clause within the same sentence, is also a lie to make money for rich people, unless verified as above.
