I'd root for McCain were it not for the risk that he'd get elected.
I'm afraid I particularly despise McCain precisely because of his one-time lack of despicability.
I agree. How clumsy of him whore for votes in a manner that people noticed.
It was therefore refreshing to see him take a principled and potentially unpopular decision, if only on that one issue.
I do wish C&L had included Gravel's answer.
That would only have been possible if Gravel had switched parties. (He is a wild-eyed coot, but he's a Democrat.)
D'oh. Having seen the debates only through the prism of C&L, I don't have him fixed firmly in memory. (I confess to not having paid much attention to him when he was in office.)
