Make that 2 thumbs up for Kerry. A shame they replaced that guy with a soulless android in '04.
I concur many times over. What is about Democrats? Carter, Gore , Kerry - all vastly better after they lost!
Roger Ailes. Ailes got it into the heads of the GOP leadership that they should get as much of the candidate's authentic personal convictions and temperament into the campaign as possible ("let Reagan be Reagan").
Obama seems strong-willed enough that he can tell the Dem programmers to fuck off, but that's the biggest threat to his candidacy. Americans will not elect someone who feels inauthentic to them, hence the atrocious weasel we've had to put up with for the past eight years.
