Tool.

Really?

I thought they all came across as tools.

It's one thing for the Democrats to beat up on Bush, because he's the smelly kid nobody likes.

On the other hand, the constant Obama bashing became pretty damn tiresome, and the chants of "drill! drill!" came across a bit less uplifting and a bit more...

Nuremberg.

Tacking to the middle, they ain't.

I just hope their switch from negative campaign tactics to Supernegative® campaign tactics doesn't work.

In spite of two-days of my Supernegative® snark attack on Palin, there was a very small part of me that was hoping she had some remnant of the once moderate, somewhat responsible Republican party of Alaska that predated oil.

But no. You've called it. She's tacked cryto-fascist, in a good speaking performance that will cheer the evangelicals.

I've had an hour to think about it now, and here's what I remember: a nasty, sarcastic, heavily scripted woman. She was good a rallying the Republican base, but forget Clinton supporters.

And no lasting countervailing impression.

She was clearly plugged into a partly pre-existing speech, which read somewhat off. And she hasn't earned the moral authority to be so sarcastic.

My prediction - the rise in Obama's poll arrests for a couple of days. The slide for McCain stops. But that's about it.

Rasmussen Agrees

The key part: It doesn't look like she's picking up any more women voters with his choice.
