Given my domination at fantasy football...

I've decided to tempt fate and make a prediction on the upcoming election:

Electoral College: Obama 344 McCain 194

Basically all "toss-up" states go for Obama, except Ohio, which McCain continues to campaign heavily in up until the last days of the election.

Any takers for better predictions?

My gut impression from the summer was that the ingredients exist for an Obama landslide- I think there's about an equal chance of an overwhelming Obama blowout as there is of a McCain squeak-through.

I'll say Obama takes Ohio squeakily, and I'm expecting a 50% possibility of Pro-bama surprises in W. Virgina, Georgia, Montana, one CD in Nebraska.

In the 33% chance of a happy surprise realm: TX, TN, AL, LA, AR, SC, AK, KY, SD.

In the 33 % of Obama losing a state he now has- FL, OH.

The undoables for Obama: UT, MS, OK, KS, AZ, ID, WY. I think every other state might be takeable, if we get a real McCain meltdown. We certainly have part of a McCain meltdown: fivethirtyeight.com is calling the chances of McCain getting 270: 5.6 percent.

I'll get back to you.

Pulls off mask to reveal Ted Stevens: And I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling kids!

Seriously. Obama 386. McCain 152.

That's a bold statement. Also an awesome prediction.
