Back in the Gil Dobie era at UW, the Huskies went 58-3 for eight years. Amazing, but some of this had to do with some of the opponents, such as Ballard High School. Imagine a wedge formation of the most fearsome offense in football coming at you in your high school varsity team.
I'm looking at this schedule, Jags, Bucs, and Titans at home. Cards and Rams in the division, of course.
A little soda water does wonders for getting blood and tears out of artificial turf.
P.S. In 1919, even after Gil Dobie left, U.W. beat Whitman College,
120-0. Yes, one hundred twenty. I should say that 100 years after a 39 game winning streak at the U is a perfect time to recreate the glory years of football in the state of Washington, even if we have to borrow the Huskies fight song.
Niners vs. Seahawks is gonna make Whitman vs. Washington look like a FIFA friendly.
