I was also just reading the history of cats in the Navy, including Oscar the Cat, rescued from the Bismark, a British Destroyer, and the Ark Royal. All in all he was in five ships, all of which were sunk, but he ended his days in Belfast, fat and happy.
It's a disarmingly adorable way to handle history.
