Did you watch this series?
Pieces of it. I came to it late. I'd always thought of it as "Oz in Baltimore' and this stuff generally is just not my speed.
This prompted a reassessment, however, and I will eventually go through the series as, maybe like Band of Brothers, it just ends up being a defining American text.
I've kind of spoiled already it by tracing the Omar story arc through Youtube. The minute of this clip starting at 0:58 gets more done than any hour of your typical police procedural. And this sort of thing stays with you.
And....this is also worth appreciating.
