BUSINESS WEEK SAYS: DUMP EXPLODER
Too darn dangerous, say experts.
Firefox is the place to be, man. I like my browsers like I like my cars - fast and unencumbered with safety features.
Fools swear they wise, wise men know they foolish
Too darn dangerous, say experts.

Does invulnerability to 99.44% of the Web's security threats not count as a safety feature?
Yesterday, in response to this latest virus, NOAA required all staff to stop using IE. This of course made my afternoon Peachy.
I must suggest some caution about alternative browsers. It is pretty clear that Microsoft products are exploited more often simply because they are most predominant in the market.
Hacker's by nature look to attack the largest herd. As an example, OS X (A Unix Platform) has recently been critisized for Microsoft-like security flaws that were not readily evident when the platform came out.
The industry is slowly learning how to build secure software, but the problem is that we are learning most from the hackers.
I am extremly impressed with Firefox, but the hackers will have to let us know wether it is secure or not. It does not, contain the flaws mentioned by Dr. X, which is a good thing.
The Viceroy is right in saying that we don't know which security holes remain in Firefox, because it hasn't been as large a target as IE. Tragically, it is true that no solution exists that allows us to completely relax.
Still, I wouldn't let the fact that fewer people are probably trying to break into Firefox dissuade me from using it.
