As any adjunct lecturer in art will tell you, and is in fact doing so presently, art consists in setting artificial limits which open certain visual-intellectual game structures, and pushing against them. The original linkage of foxy pop stars and mediocre presidents serves nicely - but if you're going to bring founding fathers or war criminals into it, I believe the paradigm must be clarifed toot suite.
