I'm waiting now for a faux contraversy. Nobody has worn number 80 in Seattle since Steve Largent (though I don't think that this jersey is officially retired).
In other news: it lookes like Grant Wistrom is out for 4-6 weeks. Damn.
I really am hoping that Jerry is going to be a good luck charm for the Seahawks.
I am happy, even if they have to wheel Jerry out on the field in a cart. I still contend that the best thing the Seahawks have done in recent memory is to pick up Trent Dilfer. Dilfer sucked early in his career and only blossomed when he finally learned that a quarterback is a weapons platform and not necessarly a weapon. Once Dilfer learned that his primary job was to get the ball to the recievers and the runningbacks, he won a Superbowel. I think he made a huge difference in Hassleback's development. I hope Rice the living legend can do the same sort of thing for our runningbacks.
I am also pleased; perhaps Rice's memories of winning the Superbowl back in - what was it? the late 19th century? will put the sparkle of victory back in our eye.

While he is inspiring our "runningbacks" perhaps he can teach the recievers how to catch as well.
Man that is old. Can he still walk?
But not as old as Dr. X.
