Rating Cities

Ok, this whole city rating thing is becoming an irritant, thanks to the Sea Lord's expert provocateuring and the collective idiocy of the list makers.

This guy thinks Reno and Atlanta are better than San Francisco. God bless you, go live there. More room for us.

This list says the very best place to live in the whole wide world is Vancouver. Hey Sparky? Here is what Vancouver (and the rest of Canada) looks like right now:

Enjoy your stay.

In the meantime, we'll be sweating it out in 'the hell that is northern California' (the Laird's formulation):

Seattle, I will grant you, is a bit south of Vancouver, and does have a somewhat milder climate:

As for the prevalence of clever people, I note that two of the four greatest universities in the world are in the Bay Area, according to this authoritative list.

Ha! We're #1! I trust this concludes this awkward matter.

I would suggest that the fog argument might not be the most winning for strict San Francisco partisanship.

Also, I should mention that the University of Washington, #17 on the list and probably the only one you can still afford without a lifetime of debt, is actually located in Seattle. And with those fancy universities of yours, one might ask why more of your citizens aren't reading?

As the snow and sleet is shutting down the city at the moment, forcing us inside to regard our undergraduate degrees, I may have to insist on discussing this further in person.
