Ask and ye shall receive...

From a USAF internet friend in response to this story:

We found a mother black Cat and 4 kittens on our Navy Lockheed P3 on preflight at NAS Glenview near Chicago. Had a hellava time convincing Maintenance Control that
we got 'em all before takeoff.

The Mom cat's access route was thru the nose wheel well. The kittens never ventured outside. We think she must have carried them up and in one-by-one.

Odd thing was no one ever reported the mom cat running across the ramp in daylight.

The ramp was a busy place. Our 9 P3s and our sister squadron had 9 also. Still, she must have gone out for food at night only.

One of the guys from another crew adopted them and took them home, off base.

Kittens in a P-3 Orion? Not only is that adorable to the max, but it's newsworthy. Tell your correspondent to alert the media!

(Type in kitten in google news and see what pops up: a sad stream of horror, misery and occassional adorableness.)
