I agree completely- and having at one time or another dated Inupiaq women, Japanese women, black women, Latvian, Irish, Hungarian, and Hispanic, and having been rejected by women from everywhere except I believe the Sudan and Borneo, which I'll get to soon, I feel I've done my part to get over exoticism and just be desperate.
A more difficult and serious point: as children we seem to take on with a fear of the identifiable other, something which can taught quite silently. Heartbreaking studies of children's association of good and bad with skin color continue. It's not just a talk or good intentions; it takes a lot of real socialization of kids to end racist impulses. And it won't always work out well.
But you know, like this study, the new generation cares a lot less about race. That is a great good.

I think history will show that this is one of better trends in humanity in the past century and, hopefully, in the future.
