The gentleman make an interesting point suggesting internal "dynamism" is evidence of not being an authoritarian.

Meanwhile, with Calvin having personally ordered the deaths of heretics, and provoking a rather notable counter reaction, the French nation is plunged into many bloody decades of a very fine example of why you don't mix Church and state.

Fortunately, it was all God's will from the beginning. Unless you have an opposing view?
