If you decide to join up, I'd recommend a fighting unit that receives proper training and equipment, such as the Army or Marines.

I was just thinking of the similiar problems of the Orc National Guard: shortages of maggoty bread, arguments between Isengard and Sauron, and of course mission creep- one day it's a dwarf attack, the next it's gofer some hobbits.
And for what?
