Blog Spam and Republican Chuckleheads

I looked at the features offered by Blogger to prevent "comment spam," but the only real option, word verification, has to be turned on for everybody, thus making it more time consuming for Eisengeisters to post comments, too.

Given that (the rare) outside comments are usually authored by addle-brained Republican stooges, perhaps we should disable comments by non memebers, entirely. What say you, Eisengeisters?

As if on queue...

(Hmmm...titles of nobility on sale...no, I'll stick with my made-up title of nobility that cost me nothing.)

I think we should welcome the stooges that we might better keep an eye on them.

Word verification isn't really that much of an impediment to me, especially compared to the posting process as a whole.

With all that said, it doesn't much matter to me.

I agree. I don't mind hearing from the occasional addle-pated stooge; it makes it that much easier for me to be smugly superior. However, comment spam annoys, so I would vote for word verification.
