Mr. Fergusen, improvising much of his material, bringing back storytelling to humor in television, and throwing in Isabella Allende here and there, is returning the art of conversation to light entertainment.
His show is on occasion remarkable, as when he held an on-air "wake" for his father, which was one of the most affecting things televised in years. I just wonder if he can keep it up.
