Summary: about five minutes into this over-twenty-minute train wreck, I was taken aback -- astounded! -- at just how bad this speech was. It's like they replaced McCain with a Chuck-E-Cheese robot that spouts inane platitudes to the audience as if they were 6-year-olds. Endlessly. For over twenty freakin' minutes.

You seem to be forgetting that this formula has worked for them in the past.
