Well, now that Obama's in charge they'll be passing out milk and cookies to schoolchildren, and that will be nice.

He are some other things The Front thinks The Front thinks...

- I like this Michael Phelps guy. Wins Olympic medals, travels a bit, chills out and screws every woman in sight (like you wouldn't). And seriously, kudos on the watch. Some celebrities, unmindful of their reputations, endorse really lame watches. You see, it says "Golf" on it because...oh, nevermind.

- I can't believe that bitch Tom Brady is getting married. Why does he deny our love?

- You know, the single most qualified person I can think of to be a Senator is Carolyn Kennedy.

- I can't believe those bad men made Tony Romo lose.

- In case you didn't notice, Paul Volcker's got his game face on.

- Great gift idea: the best art book I have read in years is the Braziller tome on Eisen and Hiroshige's The Sixty-Nine Stations of the Kisokaido. Masterful reproduction using early impressions of the prints, with just enough practical commentary, and no academic apparatus (I hate apparatus). This book is the closest you can come to walking the road in its own time. I'll defer to the Sea Lord on this, but I imagine it would be a very serviceable textbook for intro art courses.

- Cafe notes: now this is coffee. And, if you don't have water, you can just snort it. Seriously, though, please consider this one (light, balanced, and delicious) as a holiday gift.

- The Internet could have stopped Hitler? Well, seeing as how it didn't stop Rwanda, Darfur, or the festivities in Tiber, maybe we could, um...work up to that. Right now I'd settle for Mugabe.

- You have to admit, that Visanthe Shiancoe is a very attractive man.

- And here is your moment of zen.
