Ethics in Blogging
I just want to point out that it would be wrong to steal a picture of Paris Hilton reading Sun Tzu's Art of War and use it as a cheap ploy to get hits on a blog.
I am certain it would be wrong under Kant's categorical imperative, because a world in which everyone posted a stolen picture of Paris Hilton reading Sun Tzu's Art of War on their blog would unquestionably be intolerable.
The utilitarian perspective is more problematic. In terms of the general welfare, it can't be wrong to steal an image if doing so promotes the general happiness. But if the image is disturbing...or just stupid...then it probably violates utilitarian ethics as well.
The stoics might disapprove, as they advocated following "where reason leads". Wherever reason leads, it certainly is not here.
I had been hoping to justify this under situational ethics, which I had been given to understand had a lot of loopholes. I am, however, unable to find one that would apply in this situation.
So, I am pretty sure it would be wrong to do that.
Thank you.

Truth be told, Paris Hilton has now read something I haven't.
Noting only that Hilton CEO is Stephen Bollenbach. I've been meaning to make reservations for something there for a while, just to see what would happen.
Who says she finished (or even started) it? It's just a picture, after all.
To further the Laird's comments.
In my many searches on the internet, I have come across a certain category of photograph with purports itself to be an image of a famous person in flagrante delicto .
These photos are, in fact, the result of a clever process known as photo-shopping, where the face of a famous person is placed on a photo of someone else performing an act of sexual congress.
In a curious ironic twist, I can only assume this photo is one of someone else reading a book, with Miss Hilton's face (stolen no doubt from the vast library of her engaging in sexual acts) photo-shopped in.
the sexual act you speak of, mr. sum, must obviously have been involving you as she is adjusting her glasses - drum roll please
you people are terrible. obviously this is proof that she is a serious and learned woman - her reputation tattered by the internets' attack on her very very personal life.
