Wow, seven is a huge sample size from which to draw a conclusion (or simply fill column inches).
Other teams that lost the superbowl didn't get to play the Rams, Cardinals and 49rs twice in the following year.
Predicting that a given team won't make it to the Superbowl next year is going out on quite a limb. I am sorry that you had to be the bearer of such awful news. The burden must have been heavy indeed!
